Basket Installation Instructions Page 2

5) Install the stock retainer plate onto the Hinson basket. Clean the
threads in holes of the basket and the threads on the screws with contact
cleaner or another suitable cleaner.

6) Apply Loctite primer to make the bond
stronger. Apply Red Loctite generously to the cleaned screws and to the threads
on the basket. Install the new M6X16mm screws and tighten them to 11ft/lbs.

NOTE:
To ensure a permanent hold you need to
put Loctite into the hole and also onto the screw. Keep in mind that you can't
use to much!! It is crucial that you use red Loctite. To insure
proper bonding of the surfaces you need to clean the threads thoroughly with a
contact cleaner, acetone, or other cleaning/degreasing solution. To make the
bond even stronger you should use a Loctite primer. It is important that you use
fresh Loctite since in has a shelf life.

Here's a tip Hinson
recommends pinging the screws to ensure they wont come lose.
7) Re-install
the basket into the bike. Re-install the basket and the thrust washer.
Re-install the inner hub and tighten the nut to 47ft/lbs. Re-install the clutch
plates, pressure plate, and the clutch springs and bolts.
