Reviews: Hinson Complete Clutch Package

Billet Clutch Basket Installation Instructions

1) Remove the stock cover by breaking the cover loose with a large screw driver on the back tab of the cover.

2) Remove the pressure plate and the inner hub. Also remove the basket from the bike.

3) Remove gear Grind off or center punch and drill the heads of the rivets on the back of the basket to remove the stock retainer plate, be careful not to damage the backing plate as it will be reused. Remove the backing plate, primary drive gear, dampening springs, and the two washers. They will all be reused.

Note: It's very common for the stock washers to stick to the basket.

4) Reinstall the stock dampening springs into the Hinson basket.

 5) Reinstall the stock washers, putting the flat washer on first followed by the Bellville washer making the cone of the washer facing up. Now put on the stock primary drive gear assembly over the springs making sure that the gear is snug against the Hinson basket.
