Alba's Carbon Fiber Radiator Scoops
Installation Instructions
1.Start on
the left side (shifter side) remove the front cowling from the DS.Remove
radiator guard bolts and nuts and bolt securing the front plastic mount on oil
reserve tank.
2.Install bracket
#1 (black) mount #1 end under the bracket for the front cowling, "a"
end to scoop. Bracket tilts down-ward to outside as shown. Use original bolt
& nut.
3.Install
Mount # 2 (silver) as shown to top of radiator making sure the "b" end
is out for the scoop.
4. Install
mount # 3 (silver) #3 end mounts to radiator, "c" end to scoop.
Snug all brackets finger tight, then fit the radiator
scoop. Line up all
the holes, and make sure the long edge of the radiator scoop fits around the
rear of the radiator. When you have
everything lined up properly, tighten all the bolts.
Right Side
1.Remove the
coolant reserve tank for access to the upper bolt for bracket 5-e. Install bracket 4-d, 5-e and 6-f.
Note: limited space requires bracket 5-e to use
a hex head bolt on the radiator mount.
2. Repeat the
process outlined above for fitting the radiator scoop and lining up the bolt
holes.
When
everything lines up, tighten all the bolts. Remember to reinstall the coolant
tank. Replace the front cowling, tighten all fasteners.
