To 2006 CORR Lucas Oil Racing Series
Newport
Beach, Calif. -Two race weekends have been added
to the Lucas Oil Racing Series, rounding-out
the 2006 Pro and Sportsman Series season. Antigo
Speedway (Wisconsin) will host a race weekend
on June 10-11, 2006, and Bark River (Michigan)
will host a race weekend on July 8-9, 2006.
"We
committed to two additional races for the Sportsman
Series, and we are delivering on our promise,"
noted Piero Wemyss, President of CORR. "We
consider the Sportsman Series an important part
of the Lucas Oil Racing Series." The dates
in Antigo will be a Sportsman Series points
race, in which racers can earn points towards
the Championship. Pro Series teams will be invited
to race in non-points Cup racing. The event
at Bark River will be points races for both
the Pro and Sportsman Series.
CORR
will open the 2006 Pro Series season on May
20-21 at the Chula Vista International Off Road
Raceway in California. The Pro Series Championship
will be determined by cumulative points for
seven of the eight events. Teams may choose
to participate in all eight race weekends and
drop their lowest scoring event, or participate
in seven events. The 2006 Sportsman Series season
will kick off at Antigo, Wisconsin on June 10-11.
