LINDERT,
CHEESEMAN SCORE AT SECOND EVENT IN A ROW AT
BEECH BEND RACEWAY
BOWLING
GREEN, Ky. - In the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing
Series event at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling
Green, Ky., Top Alcohol Dragster (TAD) pilot Russ
Lindert and Chuck Cheeseman in Top Alcohol Funny
Car (TAFC) each won their second consecutive
races.
Lindert,
a resident of Manteno, Ill., was the No. 1
qualifier in
TAD and it was his third final round appearance of
the season. He beat Steve Federlin of Oregon
City, Ore., when Federlin red-lighted.
Lindert was runner-up at the division's season
opener at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill., and he
won the last race at Edgewater Sports Park in
Cincinnati.
For
Galena, Ohio, resident Cheeseman, the TAFC No. 1
qualifier, this was his fourth win of the season.
He beat Muncie, Ind., resident Jeff Craig in the
final round. Cheeseman also won in Joliet
and Cincinnati as well as at Indianapolis Raceway
Park in Indiana.
