NHRA has fined Funny Car driver Whit Bazemore
$5,000 and placed him on probation for the
balance of the 2002 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing
Series season as the result of a confrontation
with a pit gate security guard at the Summit
Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals in
Commerce, Ga., May 4.
