Wilson named Pacific Division assistant tech director

The National Hot Rod Association's Pacific Division (Division 7) has promoted technical employee Ben Wilson to the position of Assistant Tech Director.

The 49-year-old Wilson lives in Tucson, Ariz., and joined the NHRA Pacific Division tech staff in 1997. Prior to joining the NHRA, Wilson worked in the tech department at Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Ariz., and has worked tech at Southwestern International Raceway in his hometown of Tucson.

"We're pleased to be able to promote Ben to the position of assistant tech director," said Paul "Kiwi" Jager, Pacific Division tech director. "Ben has demonstrated the skills needed to handle the responsibility of his new position and his primary focus will be the tech inspections of the Stock and Super Stock vehicles."

The NHRA's Pacific Division territory includes the states of California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Utah, and Baja California, Mexico.
