Kalitta Shoots for Big Win in Houston

Motorsports dragster team are now taking a few steps forward after taking a couple of frustrating steps backward last weekend in Las Vegas.

As the team makes the long haul from Nevada to Houston, Texas, this weekend for the NHRA O'Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park, April 11-14, there is a new excitement brewing within Team Kalitta that makes the trip to the Lone Star state an eagerly awaited destination.

"We have a new tune-up combination that we are really excited about getting on the track," said Co-Crew Chief, Jim Oberhofer.  "In Las Vegas, our Mac Tools dragster did not perform at the level our team expects, but we gathered data from our first round loss that has shown us a new light on our tune-up, and hopefully it will turn into a win light in Houston and beyond." 

Oberhofer said, "Houston Raceway Park is a great facility, and the weather conditions expected for this weekend should give our Mac Tools/Kalitta Motorsports dragster team a great chance to prove ourselves and the new tune-up on our racecar."
